Coach Erick’s Training experience has been life changing. When he did his first WOD “HELEN” in 2009, he was hooked. The variance of movement and demand—both physically and mentally— was something he believed was essential in becoming healthier and fit. CrossFit continues to have a tremendous impact on his life, from what he eats on the daily to how he perceives any challenging task put in front of him. Mentally, Crossfit has helped improve Erick’s ability to become more optimistic and believing any goal is attainable. For this reason, Erick trains to stay healthy and to keep improving on technique. He believes that as a Coach, he needs to be constantly learning in order to teach with proficiency and accuracy. It is Erick’s belief that with every person that walks into CrossFit Trig it is his responsibility to improve their lives both physically and mentally; by teaching and encouraging them that any of their goals are achievable. With hard work and dedication the possibilities are endless. I guess you can say from 2009 to 2012 Erick’s goals have evolved from changing himself to helping others improve their lives.
If you walk into the gym and MoTown is playing, best believe Coach Erick will be singing.

Coach Paul stumbled upon CrossFit in 2009 as an alternative to doing what conventional training calls “cardio.” From the first time he tried CrossFit he fell in love with it because the workouts are constantly varied, the rates of injury are low, and the community make it fun. The impact that CrossFit has made on his life has been tremendous as Coach Paul comes from a family of health problems and he has used the knowledge and training from CrossFit to keep his health in check. Coach Paul trains simply to better his health and he teaches classes as a way to give back to the community that has helped him. As far as goals go he has an endless pursuit of hitting personal records in training along with being the best coach he could possibly be.
When Coach Paul is away from the CrossFit Trig he usually spends his time raising his newborn baby girl.
Jen is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology at Cal State Fullerton with an emphasis on Clinical Exercise Science. She began CrossFit in the early Fall of 2014. Her background in fitness and athletics include competitive tennis for several years, track and field, and 2 years of coaching experience. She’s always had an interest in fitness and makes it a big part of her everyday life. When she began CrossFit, she found that it was much different from anything she had ever done before. She loved the challenge and the variety of every single workout and found it was something she wanted to study as well as teach others and encourage others to try it as well. Upon graduation in the Spring of 2016, Jen plans to continue her education and pursue her masters in Physical Therapy. Her main goals are to eventually begin her practice in Physical Therapy while continuing to coach and learn more about CrossFit.
Yes she's a peanut butter addict but she's also our own personal JLo.
